Nurse retention and recruitment expert

Jun 12th, 2009 | By Jeff | Category: Featured, Hospital Staff Retention, Hospital Staffing, Nursing Staff Management

I have seen a lot of readers coming to The Healthcare Staffing Blog looking for advice on nurse retention lately. So I wanted to point out a great site that is completely devoted to this topic. NurseRecruitmentandRetention.com is the website of LeAnn Thieman a well known expert on the subject of nurse retention and recruiting. I just subscribed to her Free Ezine, so I am excited to see what kinds of advice she has in it. She also has a great blog and free articles on the subject. So check it out if you haven’t read her stuff or seen her speak before.

Oh and by the way she is the author of several books, including several “Chicken Soup for the Soul” books.

  1. Nursing retention is a strugling matter for many hospitals and staffing agencies. I have found that it is not usually more money that keeps nurses, it usually is two major issues. First, Does the nurse feel that management supports them and Secondly, does the nurse feel she is appreciated. This seems to be the biggest and one of the major reasons nurses stay at there job.
