Cool post. Any hospital that is not engaging in social media is missing a lot of information that is posted about them online. Some could be negative and if they aren't there to change the way people view them, they will loose even more patients to the online community.

Good points, Jeannie.

Hospitals can drive awareness of their facilities and specialties by listening for social media conversations surrounding not just their brand name but more importantly around healthcare in general.

Even using keywords or key phrases (e.g. "Need a paediatrician in the Bay area.." or something along those same lines) can help let you join in on relevant conversations.

A social media presence is a pretty much a must for any business at this point.

Cheers :)

This is a very relevant article for anyone interested in measuring satisfaction survey and customer loyalty. Especially the automation part I find quite interesting and relevant.

That is, I think, a really valid concern. It's important to keep nurses and those with physical therapist jobs from burning out. Because they're all such compassionate, hard-working people, it comes too naturally to them to overwork themselves.

Hi Jeff, this is interesting. This is true. openness is one of the most important factors and also communication before getting nurses on the job. Thanks for sharing your references also. :)

Great article with some excellent reminders and pointers on recruiting. Whether you are using a FT, PT, PRN, or Travel nurse, ensuring you have the best nurses on the floor with your patients takes a plan. The plan should include Recruitment, Hiring, Onboarding, Training, Culture Development, Recognition, and Performance Management. PRNlist.com is a tool to help you list open positions, manage applicants, hire the right person, and match to open PRN needs and FT positions.
